Graduate student Yvita Bustos presented the Evaluation of the “You are Not Alone” Project at the Coalition for Immigrant Mental Health Annual Convening, hosted at DePaul University. This project was a collaboration between the Children Adapting to Stress and Adversity (CASA) Lab, Lurie Children’s Hospital, the Center for Childhood Resilience (CCR), the Illinois Childhood Trauma Coalition (ICTC) and the  Refugee Immigrant Children (RIC) Ad Hoc Committee.

  • Stephanie 's project was titled "Optimizing Neurobiological Methods for Community Research: Hair Cortisol Concentrations and Attentional Bias to Threat."
  • Madeline presented two projects titled "The Impact of Frequency of Trauma on Baseline PTSD Symptoms and Treatment Outcomes in a Sample of Children Exposed to Ongoing Trauma" and "The Impact of Involuntary Responses to Stress on BMI."
  • Alex's project was titled "Association between Coping Mechanisms and Depressive Symptoms among Latino Children."
